Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 UK Premier |
For anyone out there that wants to try their hand at a chance to see Harry, Ron and Hermione in the same place at the same time ever again (in the flesh, not just in the movies), the New York premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 may be your last chance.
Sadly, J.K. won't be there because she'll probably be off petting an owl or something, but there will still be tons of Potter leads taking the red carpet at NYC's Avery Fisher Hall.
I've done this before for the HP and the Goblet of Fire premier in London and it didn't end well for me, but you may have better luck. In any case, I have prepared a checklist for anyone brave enough to take on the heat and the craziness which will be Farewell to Potter Oblivion 2011.
-Water Bottle It will be hot and you'll be outside forever. No one wants to get carried away by the paramedics before getting a glimpse at whatever amazing dress Emma Watson will be wearing.
-Pencils Tic Tac Toe is a life saver.
-iPod/iPhone Tuning out the other crazies around you is always beneficial wherever you may be. You can also live stream coverage of the event. see Mugglenet.com
-Snacks You're gonna be hungry...duh.
-Sneakers Flip flops could end with crushed toes when everyone bum rushes the the barricade to see Daniel Radcliffe.
-Sunglasses These are just for looking cool and sophisticated.
-Friends Bring someone you can stand being around for 8 hours straight, not someone you know will complain or wonder what the Elder Berry wand is.
-Camera You may be out of luck getting an in-focus photo of the cast, but you could get some good ones of you and your friends eating Cheez-Its.
-Potter Gear Fun Potter glasses or ties are fun for great photo ops with friends but don't load yourself down with a ton of gear that's gonna get stepped on throughout the day.
