When most people recall their days at Grandma's house, they think of the hours spent playing Chinese checkers and eating all your favorite sweets.
But not this kid and his Grandma. They're busy making hilarious rap videos and dancing. Who doesn't want to be the grandma that's making You Tube videos with her grandson when she gets old?
With the distant tears of the closing scenes of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II still lingering on our tissues, diehard Potter fans haven't had much to look forward to.
When not trying to figure out why Pottermore is so awful, fans have had their antennas up for new projects from our favorite kid wizards. Daniel Radcliffe: still singing and dancing on Broadway. Emma Watson: busy not going to Brown. Rupert Grint: making creepy music videos about being a crazy ginger stalker man?!?!
Indeed friends. Ruper Grint has become a creepy ginger stalker man for Ed Sheeran's single, 'Lego House.'
What does this mean for Potter fans? It means that Rupert ain't taking life sitting down and doing illegal drugs. He's getting out there and doing some more acting. Letting his ginger flag fly...and I'm loving it.
Henceforth Rupert and take your time in the spotlight. No longer will you be Ron Weasley, but you'll be that guy that played Ron Weasley, but is now doing things that are creepy, weird and artsy.
Plot: In the not-so-distant future, but not in the future that has transportation devices like the Millennium Falcon, people have to buy time or stop aging at 25 (you either kill over dead or turn to Buffy vamp dust, your choice). Will Salas (played by Justin Timberlake) is a regular joe who somehow gets a lot of time that he didn’t pay for by singin' and dancin', or being cougar bait. When stormtroopers the corrupt police force of the future find out , Will has to go on the run to save his life.
Justin Timberlake-You know how everyone has been missing good ole singin’ and dancin’, SexyBack JT? Well you ain’t gonna get that here because he hates giving his fans what they want, but you could get something that could be close. Watch the trailer to In Time, while listening to some JT. It’s like watching a new music video but with a song you already know the words to. Classic JT.
Amanda Seyfried-She is not worth looking forward to, because after seeing her in like 10 movies, I still am not sure how I feel about her. And that is not a good thing. But, she does have a different hair cut in this movie, so that could be nice, because she usually looks like a scary doll child.
Cillian Murphy-Looks like a ghost. And ghosts are scary.
Action/Thriller-This genre has lacked lately in the interesting department. This spin on a time thriller sounds exciting but could easily suffer from an underwhelming cast. But who’s to say, this could totally turn into a Michael Cera recap, where you predict the movie will suck but when you actually see it you sort of cock your head to the side and say, “that wasn’t too bad.”
And if all fails, you can slip your headphones on halfway through the movie and listen to SexyBack while JT jumps over 6 cars with fire blazing in the background. SWEET!
While I am not reporting from the front row of New York Fashion Week, I have been finding great info and pics at NYMag.com. Which is where I found these 4 great looks by Luca Luca for Spring 2012.
Fashion Week is in full swing here in NYC, which means it is time to talk STYLE!
One fun trend I've been noticing lately is the Peter Pan collar. I think it is ultra sweet, girly and fun. This look is totally on trend for fall and I think we'll be seeing more of it produced commercially this year and possibly even next. Here are 4 fab collar looks that caught my eye.
Meatballs-Not something I think about too often. Why? Because, although spaghetti is good, I feel that it is outplayed when it comes to mealtime. Ten year-old me would def disagree but she will come to understand that there is more to pasta than Spaghetti-Os.
That was me up until 2 weeks ago, when I discovered that meatballs don't need pasta! Meatballs just need cheese! Thanks to Brooklyn's meal quirky restaurant The Meatball Shop, I have been enlightened to the multiple possibilities of meatballs. Whether they are chicken, veg or good old fashioned beef, you can make it a hearty meal minus that overstuffed feeling you get after eating a ton of pasta.
Above, is my 4 chicken meatballs covered in what I think is parmesan (The Naked Balls), with a side of broccoli.
Check out this masterpiece. My boyfriend had some sort of veggie meatball salad (Everything but the Kitchen Sink Salad). All of which was gone in 60 seconds. (He takes what I call, "Dinosaur Bites")
What I look forward to the most when eating at a new place, is trying their desserts. Our friends Sal and Arlene shared this yummy macaroon and vanilla ice cream sandwich, while my boyfriend and I inhaled a chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream sandwich.
