K-Stew goes metal for Snow White

So, I'm sure by now you all have seen the first release photos of Kristen Stewart as Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman. What you probably haven't seen are K-Stew's rugid and scary costars Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Charlize Theron (super hot all the time).

Anyways, I can't lie. I was a tad bit intrigued by this twist on this classic fairytale. Apparently, the Huntsman that is suppose to take Snow White into the woods and kill her, ends up becoming BFFs with Snow White and becomes her mentor in training. The Huntsman trains Snow White to kick Evil Queen ass and look awesome while wearing a suit of metal.

Fun huh? I bet $10 there's a makeout scene between the Huntsmen and Snow White.

Either way, it is way too early to get excited about this until we see a trailer and maybe a few more images, but for now it is fun to see what they are cooking up out there in Hollywoodland.

Snow White and the Huntsman is set to release in 2012.

Andy Strolls in Chrome

Living in New York City is really interesting. It is a daily Love/Hate experience. One thing I do love is coming across the oddities and spectacles city life has to offer.

Rewind back to last week when I was passing through Union Square with my boyfriend and we came across what I thought, at first, was one of those statue people who stand very still in crowded places looking for donations and as soon as you tip them they move and you jump back twenty feet because you are both afraid of getting gold paint all over yourself but also how crazy someone probably is after covering themselves in gold paint everyday for chump change.

Either way, I thought it was a crazy person but it wasn't. It was a statue of Andy Warhol. The chrome finished statue definitely made me smile. Andy Warhol was such a complexed and somewhat funny person. His quotes and ideas make me laugh, but mostly because they are so true.

You can see The Andy Monument by Rob Pruitt on the North Western end of Union Square in NYC.

Harry Potter NYC Premier Info

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 UK Premier

For anyone out there that wants to try their hand at a chance to see Harry, Ron and Hermione in the same place at the same time ever again (in the flesh, not just in the movies), the New York premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 may be your last chance.

Sadly, J.K. won't be there because she'll probably be off petting an owl or something, but there will still be tons of Potter leads taking the red carpet at NYC's Avery Fisher Hall.

I've done this before for the HP and the Goblet of Fire premier in London and it didn't end well for me, but you may have better luck. In any case, I have prepared a checklist for anyone brave enough to take on the heat and the craziness which will be Farewell to Potter Oblivion 2011.

-Water Bottle It will be hot and you'll be outside forever. No one wants to get carried away by the paramedics before getting a glimpse at whatever amazing dress Emma Watson will be wearing.
-Pencils Tic Tac Toe is a life saver.
-iPod/iPhone Tuning out the other crazies around you is always beneficial wherever you may be. You can also live stream coverage of the event. see Mugglenet.com
-Snacks You're gonna be hungry...duh.
-Sneakers Flip flops could end with crushed toes when everyone bum rushes the the barricade to see Daniel Radcliffe.
-Sunglasses These are just for looking cool and sophisticated.
-Friends Bring someone you can stand being around for 8 hours straight, not someone you know will complain or wonder what the Elder Berry wand is.
-Camera You may be out of luck getting an in-focus photo of the cast, but you could get some good ones of you and your friends eating Cheez-Its.
-Potter Gear Fun Potter glasses or ties are fun for great photo ops with friends but don't load yourself down with a ton of gear that's gonna get stepped on throughout the day.
-

Where: Avery Fisher Hall, Columbus Avenue at West 65th Street, New York NY

When: Monday, July 11th with celebrity arrivals starting at 5 PM.

Who (so far): Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Alan Rickman, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Helen McCrory, director David Yates, producers David Heyman and David Barron, and screenwriter Steve Kloves.

And the Fireworks Went BOOM!

So, as some of you may know, America celebrated its Independence Day this past weekend and boy was it  (drum roll) blast.

I actually had a great time in watching the fireworks from Weehawken, NJ where you get a great view of the fireworks over the NYC skyline. If you ask me, New Yorkers are the ones getting the bum deal because who wants to watch fireworks over the New Jersey skyline?

Either way, the fireworks show was very colorful, loud and eventful. There was plenty of cheering and screaming done by small children and rowdy teenagers. You would have thought Justin Bieber was on the block, there was so much screaming and cheering.

After the fireworks we went back to our friends house down the street and enjoyed more food, drinks and chatter. An ideal 4th of the July indeed.

Nashville Signage and Sweets

Well, now that I am a week in from my trip back from Tennessee, I have photos to share of my journey. Most of my hightlights are of Nashville signs and sights of Broadway. I can't help but to love all the color, fun and old school flavor of Nashville's famed strip. Every time I'm there I see new places and old places (that couldn't be taken out if you tried). One of my new favs was this adorable old timey candy shop called Diana's. Too cute!
